Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.”
― Alice Morse Earle
As the year comes to an end I’m taking the time to do some reflection on the year that has almost passed and to do some planning for the future. But most importantly I am also reminding myself that when it comes to living life to the fullest it is the present that matters the most. 2018 has been a memorable year for me for a lot of reasons. A few things happened that changed my perspective and made me look at how I want to live my life. I hope to share some of these moments with you in the future when the timing is right.
Mindfulness has played a key role in my change of perspective, and as the year comes to a conclusion I have decided that I want to appreciate each and every day up until the new year. In the past it would have been easy for me to focus on the new year and do as much planning for it as I could, but with mindfulness as a guide I now consider these last few days to be as important if not more important than the days the lie ahead. The current moment is my priority.
I want to make sure that I express my appreciation for your support of Sweet Moments of Mine across all of my social media platforms. I am so very thankful for every moment that you all take out of your own time to engage with my content whether it be reading my blog, writing a comment, watching a video, liking a photo, or sharing with friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your encouragement and backing.
Though as I stated above, it is these last few days and moments of the year I am looking forward to the most, I am definitely looking forward to living mindfully in 2019, and I have many things I am excited to share with you all here on Sweet Moments of Mine.
I’ve found that it is within the present moment that my happiness and contentment (as well as my creativity and enthusiasm) abounds. So here’s to 2019, but my biggest cheer and greatest hoorah is for right now and engaging in these last few moments of 2018! Thanks for reading.
